Mari kita bahas tentang apa itu CAN pada pokok bahasan kali ini kami jabarkan pengertian tentang CAN secara bertahap mengingat waktu luang kami terbatas , dan jangan kuwatir nanti akan kita kupas sampai masalah DTC tentang CAN dan Solusinya serta bagaimana cara melakukan pengetesan maupun simulasinya

CAN merupakan kepanjangan dari Controller Area Network merupakan komunikasi serial untuk aplikasi real time.

Ini adalah jalur komunikasi multiplex pada kendaraan dengan kecepatan komunikasi data yang tinggi dan kemampuan mendeteksi kesalahan error dengan tingkat akurasi yang sangat baik (maaf itu menurut Kami). Banyak unit kontrol elektronik kendaraan berat dan ringan sat ini dilengkapi dengan komunikasi CAN. Dengan demikian setiap modul atau antar modul dapat berkomunikasi atau memberikan informasi ke control unit yang lain jadi bias dikatakan komunikasi tersebut saling terkait tidak independen, komunikasi Via CAN ini hanya membutuhkan 2 jalur atau 2 kabel biasanya disebut dengan CAN line H dan CAN Line L atau yang lebih popular CAN-H dan CAN-L

Jadi pada saat mengirimkan / menerima data  kebutuhan  kabel dapat dikurangi pada tiap unit kontrolnya, dismping itu tingkat akurasi dan dengan keepatan yang sangat tinggi memungkinkan komunikasi lebih respontif

Setiap unit kontrol mengirimkan / menerima data tetapi selektif membaca data yang diperlukan saja.
